Prior to EF+Math, Douglas served as program officer for the Institute of Education Sciences, where she oversaw the Reading for Understanding Research Initiative (a $115 million program) and the English Language Learner portfolios. After working as a researcher in a cognitive science lab at the National Institute of Aging, Douglas also worked in learning outcomes assessment at a community college and in research at the GED Testing Service, IMPAQ International, and the International Reading Association. Douglas earned her undergraduate degree in human development from Antioch College and her M.A. and Ph.D. in statistics, evaluation, and assessment from the University of Maryland. Throughout her many roles, her focus has been on improving equity in education for every student.
